The Key Concept is Terror.

Damn, that is one awesome post title.

Ugh I wanted to write something very good and thought provoking in here but after I read that sentence up there which I put down the first time I attempted this, I kinda lost track.

Because damn, that is one awesome post title.

Anyway I think this post was meant to be about death, mainly as a postulation on why we as people might fear death.

It’s probably about the fear of the unknown, but not exclusively a fear not knowing what might happen to us – it might be that we are terrified of not knowing what happens to everyone else. It’s about what is closest and dearest to us as humans, and that is everything around us – family, friends, the teddy bear we cuddle in order to fall asleep. (I don’t have one :/ I do have a giant Snoopy plush toy which I left at home far, far away though).

So anyway what I’m trying to say here is that there might be yet another reason why humans fear death. It’s not (only) that we don’t plan on slow cooking in the burning fires of hell… It’s that we’re terrified that the people we love might broil alongside us.

That’s a most upsetting idea.

So yeah, take that into consideration. I’m sure I put a whole lot more thought into this than two crudely put paragraphs, but I’m very sure I’ve totally forgotten most of it. Being the amnesiac elephant that I am I probably won’t be coming back to this post even if I suddenly recalled everything I was supposed to tell you, so enjoy the likeness of my Snoopy and do your own thinking, you philistines.

My Sexy Desktop

I’m not tagging this one at the end of my Hot Desktop post because this is really too pretty

Ah, Fate.

My current desktop. I think it’ll last a while. The wallpaper came from Nanoha imageboards (I think Animesuki). Winamp skin is Invicta, taskbar is Alienguise.

This lasted about 2 hours before the next one (below). This one is either 4Chan or 2Chan’s 404 girl. I can’t recall which. But it looks good. The Winamp skin came from Lunar Abyss. It’s Haruhi and Tamaki from Ouran Highschool Host Club. The taskbar is as usual the Alienware’s Alienguise.

An awesome image also from Nanoha imageboards. Same taskbar, Winamp skin is Zippo’s, just because.

I ought to start waxing lyrical (OMG bad joke) about Nanoha soon.

You know what, since this post is pretty much the most popular post on the blog, it would be a shame not to put up something that’s actually sexy as opposed to the desktops above which are pretty but not exactly the true definition of the word ’sexy’.

This is the best I can do, so hopefully that’s enough.

This is XP-tan. The theme is VistaVG. It’s a theme that makes the Windows XP taskbar look like Vista’s.

It’s heartbreaking. It’s heartwarming. It’s torture, pure emotional torture. It’s one of the best storylines I’ve read; painfully realistic in an almost absurd setting. It’s also an anime with really good music which unfortunately I haven’t watched.

It’s actually something that, even being the hardened pirate that I am, would actually buy if it was licensed. It’s that good.

Mohiro Kitoh is a storytelling master; look at his other works, like Narutaru (Shadow Star). If you like torturing yourself with drama and character death while immersing yourself in a storyline several fathoms deep, you’ll like Bokurano. A lot.
