Burn, Burn

October 6, 2006

Yep, a happy Mid-Autumn Festival to everyone who celebrates it, and to everyone else who doesn’t. Have fun burning things. Or more like lighting lanterns and dangling them about in innocuous places. And eating mooncakes. And drinking tea (well we did it anyway).

And lighting way too many candles and playing with fire and burning the boxes the candles came in and overdoing the wax and getting your fingertips burned slightly and generally indulging in your minor pyromanic tendencies. Like I said somewhere else to someone else, burn a candle… Or at least burn a DVD. (You can say ‘Huh?’ too if you like) Get into the spirit of the festival.

What better way to celebrate the moon than to light candles and illuminate the night, thus eliminating, or perhaps slightly diminishing the duty of a full moon which, incidentally, did not shine over here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia due to the haze caused by open burning and forest fires in our dear neighbour Indonesia; in addition to the erratic weather. Of course.

Have a nice night. Let it burn.
